Xianning Vocational and Technical College, located in Xianning City, Hubei Province, is a public full-time comprehensive general higher vocational college organized by Hubei Provincial People's Government. The college was formerly known as Xianning Finance School, 1965. In 2003, it was founded by Xianning Education College, Xianning Finance and Trade Business Administration School, Xianning Finance and Taxation Accounting School, Xianning Applied Science and Technology School, Xianning Sports School (1987) and Xianning Gymnasium.
As of 20 15 and 12, the school has been rated as an advanced unit of vocational education in China, a civilized unit in Hubei Province, a garden-style unit in Hubei Province and a safe campus in Hubei Province. It was awarded by the provincial people's government as an internship training base for colleges and universities in Hubei Province, a demonstration base for college students' innovation and entrepreneurship by the Provincial Department of Education, and a business incubation base by the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. On August 5th, 20 19, it was named as a national university with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship in 20 19.
In June 2020, it was awarded "the third batch of national defense education characteristic schools" by the Ministry of Education. ? In June of 20021year, the Party Committee of Xianning Vocational and Technical College was awarded the title of "Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization in Hubei Province". ? In July, 20021year, the school's "Intelligent Manufacturing Virtual Simulation Training Base" was selected into the public list of training projects of the vocational education demonstration virtual simulation training base of the Ministry of Education.

Teachers have published 477 research papers, 38 books and teaching materials, undertaken 46 scientific research projects, completed 15 scientific research projects and completed 36 final projects.
