Gree Electric said in the tip-off letter that several consumers had previously reported to the company that Oaks air conditioners were cheap but consumed a lot of electricity. According to the actual measurement in our laboratory (approved by CNAS and passed the test), the following air-conditioning products produced by Oaks Air Conditioning Co., Ltd. are far from their advertised and nominal energy efficiency values.
Gree Electric said that after the company entrusted a third-party organization with professional qualifications to test and verify, the test conclusion was consistent with its test conclusion, but the energy efficiency ratio and refrigeration power consumption test conclusion were unqualified.
The production and sales of such products not only seriously infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, but also cause great damage to the national policies on energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection and the benign order of fair competition in the market.
