The appearance of the WM 7 Series sedan has been revealed, and it looks like the BAIC EU5

Recently, Jinghua obtained a set of appearance patent application drawings of WM Motor's new pure electric sedan from the National Patent Office. The applied color pictures are more exquisite than the black and white patterns of other brands, but as far as the vehicle is concerned In itself, it seems less refined.

According to a sideways preview picture released by the official, the car is the "7 Series" pure electric sedan originally planned to be unveiled at this year's Beijing Auto Show. The front of the new car adopts a closed front face shape, with a black decorative strip running through the front of the car. The position of the downward-protruding car logo is exactly the same as that of the current EX5 and EX6, but the charging port seems to have been moved elsewhere, and no trace of the seam can be seen.

There is a charging port on the left and right sides of different sizes. It is obvious that the charging port has been moved from the front of the car to these two places. As for the vehicle's outline, waistline and taillights, they all think it looks ordinary and has no appearance at all. This mid-sized smart pure electric car should have an avant-garde sci-fi feel, even like a BAIC EU5 or EU7.

It wasn’t until I saw another set of full-LED headlights, perhaps a version of a high-end model, that this car regained its sense of technology.

In addition, WM Motor has also applied for a set of new interior patents. The height of the gear lever is the same as that of the current EX5 and EX6, but there are still differences such as the armrest box and air-conditioning outlets, which are not yet clear. This interior belongs to this "Weima 7 Series", which is a facelift of the EX6.

According to previous official publicity, the new car is positioned as a medium-sized pure electric sedan and is the first sedan of the WM brand. NEDC has a comprehensive range of over 700km, is equipped with L3&L4 autonomous driving technology, and has a 5G technology smart cockpit. It was originally planned to be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show this year, and will be launched and delivered in 2021. Judging from the current situation, this high-tech car may have to be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show, which has been postponed to September at the earliest.

I recall that when the news of the new WM 7 Series was first officially announced, almost all media placed it in a very high position in the new force’s car-making team. It is comparable to the now-famous Xpeng P7 and The difficult-to-produce NIO ET7 is juxtaposed. At present, at least in terms of appearance, it seems to be more pleasing to the eye when placed next to BAIC EU7 and JAC iC5.

In fact, in terms of body size, the WM 7 Series is indeed a solid mid-sized sedan, as can be seen from the PK in the picture above. But why does Weimar's design always make people feel smaller than others?
