The development trend of various stabilizers is as follows.
(1) Dust-free lead salt is the most basic requirement, and low lead content is forced by the environment. In view of the excellent performance of lead salt in pipes and insulating materials, the lead-free process in the world is slow. It will take time for lead salt to really withdraw from the historical stage, which requires the emergence of new lead-free products with excellent performance-price ratio and the strengthening of environmental protection laws and regulations.
(2) methyl tin products with excellent organotin properties have been greatly developed, especially in China. China has a number of methyl tin patents. In recent years, Shenzhen Fansheng and Hubei Nanxing have made fruitful efforts in the production and promotion of methyl tin. Starting with raw tin, Fansheng Company has mastered the key production technology with an annual output of 6,000 t methyl tin by using its own patented technology, and developed a new type of cold-resistant organotin compound, which indicates that the production of organotin in China has reached a higher level. At present, China vigorously develops organotin stabilizers to make the structure of heat stabilizers more reasonable. There are no technical obstacles, and what is needed is the guidance of policies and regulations.
(3) Non-toxic calcium/zinc stabilizer for metal soap has a very broad development space, and calcium/zinc stabilizer has been used in large-diameter pipelines and thermal insulation fields abroad. However, the development of composite metal soap in China is not paid enough attention, and there is a big gap with foreign countries because of the lack of high-performance auxiliary stabilizers. The development of high-performance composite metal soap depends on high-performance auxiliary stabilizers.
(4) Rare earth stabilizer is a heat stabilizer with China characteristics, and its development momentum is strong. At present, there are more than 10 domestic manufacturers and scientific research units involved in the development of rare earth stabilizers. Manufacturers in Baotou and other places seize the opportunity of China's western development and plan to build a large-scale rare earth stabilizer base. However, most of the rare earth stabilizers introduced at present are compounds of rare earth and lead salts, which can only be used as transitional products with low lead content. The widespread use of rare earth stabilizers still needs to solve the problems of insufficient lubricity and processability.
(5) Pure organic compounds and pure organic stabilizers, as substitutes for metal stabilizers, have been paid attention to. Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Morton and other companies have successively introduced pure organic compounds represented by aminodiketones. Compared with metal stabilizers, pure organic products are environmentally friendly and are expected to play a great role in replacing toxic heavy metal stabilizers.
(6) Other products New compounds used as heat stabilizers in recent years include hydrotalcite series and perchlorate. Ciba Jiaji Company used perchloric acid and its salts, epoxy compounds and antioxidants in PVC, and obtained excellent heat resistance and discoloration resistance. The hydrotalcite series introduced by Japan * * * Co., Ltd. is a magnesium/aluminum compound, which can be used in PVC together with fatty acid zinc to prevent batch coloring; Germany Southern Chemical Company has built a production plant with an annual output of 5,000 tons of hydrotalcite, and has patented technology. As a completely harmless additive to the environment, hydrotalcite has a broad application prospect.
