UL certification is not mandatory in the United States, but mainly for the inspection and certification of product safety performance. Amazon didn't ask for UL before, but now it's more and more strict, because the competition on the platform is becoming more and more fierce, and there are many irregular behaviors. Selling unqualified electronic products in Amazon is likely to cause fire and endanger personal and property safety. The following products need UL certification: lamps, household appliances, communications, power tools, wires and cables, etc.
2.CPC certification
CPC certification is mainly aimed at maternal and child products and children's toys. The main test requirements are as follows:
(1) Children's products must comply with relevant rules and safety regulations, and third-party testing is mandatory.
(2) The inspection must be carried out in a laboratory approved by CPSC.
(3) According to the results of third-party testing, manufacturers and importers can issue CPC certificates or with the assistance of third-party laboratories.
(4) Children's products must comply with all applicable rules or regulations.
3.FDA certification
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) mainly covers food, cosmetics, medicines, medical devices, radioactive products and tobacco. Its responsibility is to ensure the safety of products produced in the United States and locally.
4.DOT certification
The responsibility is to formulate and improve transportation-related laws and regulations, make a series of regulations on various means of transport and dangerous goods imported into the United States, and issue certificates. There are 55 certified products ranging from controllers and monitors, child restraint systems to the combustion characteristics of motorcycle helmets and automobile interior materials.
5.FCC certification
The Federal Communications Commission coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio broadcasting, television, telecommunications, satellites and cables. FCC Engineering Department is responsible for technical support and equipment approval of the committee. Many radio applications, communication products and digital products need FCC approval to enter the US market. There are many kinds of certified products, including personal computers, household appliances, audio and video, toys and so on.

Article 2 the State Council shall establish an import and export commodity inspection department (hereinafter referred to as the State Administration for Commodity Inspection) to be in charge of the national import and export commodity inspection. Import and export commodity inspection agencies established by the State Commodity Inspection Bureau in various places (hereinafter referred to as commodity inspection agencies) shall be responsible for the inspection of import and export commodities in the areas under their jurisdiction.
Article 4 The inspection of import and export commodities shall be based on the principles of protecting human health and safety, protecting the lives and health of animals and plants, protecting the environment, preventing fraud and safeguarding national security. The State Commodity Inspection Bureau has formulated and adjusted the Catalogue of Import and Export Commodities that Must be Tested (hereinafter referred to as the Catalogue), and promulgated and implemented it.
Article 5 Import and export commodities listed in the catalogue must be inspected by the commodity inspection authorities.
The imported goods specified in the preceding paragraph shall not be sold or used without inspection; The export commodities specified in the preceding paragraph are not allowed to be exported if they have not passed the inspection.
The import and export commodities specified in the first paragraph of this article may be exempted from inspection upon the application of the consignor and the approval of the State Administration for Commodity Inspection.
