Obtain a nationally recognized college degree or above in science and engineering, and obtain a diploma or degree certificate. China citizens and residents of Taiwan Province Province who are permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region may register for the examination.
Exempt from the examination of patent agency practice subjects
China citizens who have been engaged in patent examination for seven years may apply for exemption from patent agency practice.

Under any of the following circumstances, you may not register for the examination: (1) Having been subjected to criminal punishment for intentional crimes, and less than three years have passed since the date of completion of the punishment; (2) Less than three years have elapsed since the decision on the punishment for revoking the qualification certificate of patent agents was made.
