English name:

pen/fountain pen [edit this paragraph] Generation and development of pens is now a widely used writing tool, which was invented in the early 19th century. In 189, Britain issued the first batch of patent certificates about water storage pens, which marked the official birth of pens.

In the early water storage pens, ink could not flow freely. When the writer presses the piston, the ink starts to flow. After writing for a while, he has to press it again, otherwise the ink will not flow out. It's certainly inconvenient to write like this.

In 1884, an employee of an American insurance company named wortmann invented a method of supplying ink by capillary, which solved the above problems better. The end of this pen can be detached and the ink is injected with a small dropper.

The earliest pen capable of absorbing ink by itself appeared in the early 2th century, and a piston was adopted to absorb ink. When the rubber bladder is used in the pen, an iron piece should be inserted into a gap to squeeze the rubber bladder to absorb ink. By 1952, there was a Snooker pen with a tube sticking into the ink to absorb water. It was not until 1956 that the commonly used capillary pen was invented. There are still some art pens. [Edit this paragraph] There are many kinds and models of pens. According to the composition of pen tip, it can be divided into gold pen and iridium pen.

(1) gold pen: the nib is made of gold alloy, which is soft, elastic and comfortable. However, the gold pen is expensive, and the pen tip is soft and difficult to master, so it is not suitable for beginners to use.

(2) Iridium pen: The nib does not contain gold, and some of the nibs are plated with gold. The nib is hard, but it is inexpensive, so it is a suitable tool for beginners to write.

The reason why the gold nib and the iridium nib are more durable than the steel nib lies in the small round particles on the steel nib. This little round grain. This small round particle is made of iridium-osmium alloy, which is very hard and wear-resistant. According to the experiment of Shanghai Jinxing Gold Pen Factory, if the gold pen tip and the steel pen tip are put on the oilstone at the same time, after one hour, the gold pen tip will wear only .7 mm, while the steel pen tip will wear as much as 5 mm!

Although the prices are very different, the iridium particles in the nib are all alloys of special alloys "iridium, ruthenium"! The reason why the smoothness is so different is that the polishing method and fineness are different. So in a sense, the gold pen is the same as the iridium pen. But the materials and feel are different, which leads to the price gap!

ink contains a small amount of sulfuric acid, but this corrosive sulfuric acid will pose a serious threat to pens. If the pen tip is made of ordinary steel, it will not withstand the corrosion of sulfuric acid and will not last long. What metal can resist corrosion? Gold, iridium and stainless steel. Gold is a corrosion-resistant metal, and people think of using it to make pen tips. However, pure gold is too soft to be directly used to make pen tips. The golden pen we usually say, the nib is all alloy. The tip of a better gold pen is marked with the words 14K, indicating that it contains 58% gold, and there are also silver and copper: those marked with 12K indicate that it contains 5% gold. In this way, not only the hardness is improved, but also the elasticity is particularly good. The small silver-white round particle on the gold nib is called iridium particle. It is an alloy, mainly iridium, and other rare metals, which are particularly wear-resistant. Because when you write, you have to rely on it to draw across the paper, and it often has to "walk Wan Li Road" all its life. The tip of the iridium pen is made of stainless steel. Fortunately, the small round particles on the tip of the iridium pen are exactly the same as those on the gold pen. Therefore, the use effect of iridium pen is similar to that of gold pen, but the price is much cheaper. So cheap iridium pens are very popular. Ordinary dip pens and pens have a much shorter service life without embedded iridium particles on their tips. [Edit this paragraph] When choosing a pen, it depends on whether the pen tip is smooth and whether the water comes out smoothly. This can be tested by testing the pen, that is, dipping the new pen in ink and trying to write on the paper. If the pen tip does not scratch the paper and the water comes out evenly, then there is no problem and it meets the use requirements. The tip of a pen is thick and thin, so you should use a pen with a slightly thicker tip when practicing writing. If you need to write in a pen with a smaller font, you can choose a pen with the word "extra fine" on the pen holder to write. [Edit this paragraph] Use and maintenance of a new pen: Generally, a pen can be used normally when it is put into water, and it is not necessary to take it away and soak the new pen, as some people say. Of course, sometimes it is inevitable that the pen will not run out of water or the nib will be dry. At this time, it is necessary to treat it slightly. Generally, it is necessary to clean the pens that have poor ink output after being bought back, because some pens are not cleaned when the nib is inspected before leaving the factory or after the counter customer tries the pen, and the components in the ink condense for a long time, blocking the ink guide groove of the pen nib, which will lead to poor water entry. In this case, you need to remove the pen tip, soak it in warm water (avoid boiling water) for half an hour, then dry it, and it can be used normally after being installed. If it still doesn't work, you can extend the soaking time. If it still doesn't work, you need to remove the metal sheet of the nib, and then use a small brush to clean the ink guide groove on the back of the tongue and the whole capillary structure (that is, the small cracks on the plastic part of the nib). It may also be the cause of the pen tip itself that the water is not smooth. One is that the pen seam at the front end of the pen tip is too narrow. At this time, you can press the pen tip down slightly according to the usual writing posture and keep it for one or two seconds, or you can widen the pen seam with a thin blade, but be careful. The second reason is that the ink guide groove is too narrow. At this time, it is necessary to use a thin blade to expand the ink guide groove, so be careful!

pen maintenance: when writing, you should put some manuscript paper under the paper to enhance the elasticity of the pen tip and reduce friction. Don't write on hard materials such as metal to avoid damaging the nib. Avoid mixing different inks in daily use, so as to avoid precipitation blocking the pen. Pens should be cleaned once a month or so to keep the ink flowing smoothly. If carbon ink is used, it should be cleaned more. Pens should be washed and preserved if they are not used for a long time.

pen cleaning: generally, when cleaning, water can be absorbed and drained repeatedly until the drained water is clean, and then it can be dried. If you clean the pen at a long interval or plan to clean it and seal it, you need to disassemble all parts and clean them separately. After preliminary disassembly, it is divided into five parts: nib, converter (inker/ink bag), pen holder, pen cap and pen holder. The latter two generally do not need to be cleaned. The metal part of the nib and the tongue (inking structure) should be further disassembled. The metal piece of the nib should be washed clean with water, and the whole inking structure can be carefully brushed with an old toothbrush, and then soaked in warm water for one night. All parts are cleaned and dried, and can be packed and sealed when they are completely dried. Of course, different pens have different structures, and not all pens can be disassembled. For pens that are difficult to disassemble, only the first method can be used to clean them. Do not forcibly disassemble and damage the pens.

It needs to be mentioned here that there is a kind of elbow pen called "calligraphy pen", which has the characteristic that the thickness of writing strokes changes greatly. When using, the pen holder is pressed down, the strokes are thick, and you can write slightly larger words; When the pen is upright, the strokes will be fine, and you can write smaller words. This kind of pen is more expressive than ordinary pens, and is often used to write larger fonts such as envelopes. However, it is difficult to write with this pen, so beginners should not practice writing with it.

Last but not least, we should pay special attention to it: Never wash the pen with boiling water or overheated water, otherwise it will do harm to the pen! [Edit this paragraph] Domestic brands of famous brands:

Old brands that are still alive: Hero, Yongsheng, Guan Leming, Venus, etc.

Among domestic brands, the well-known old pens such as Hero, Yongsheng and Guan Mingle are now owned by Hero. Although the brands still exist, their ownership has been owned by Hero Pen Factory. Hero is the first manufacturer of domestic pens, and its products are not only sold in China, but also have a high influence in Southeast Asia, and its business has also been carried out in many European countries. Many well-known brands have become permanent history under the pace of market economy and reform and opening up. Such as "Friendship League", "bai ling" and "New Youth".

however, the old brand Venus has experienced the production from Shanghai Venus to Shanghai Venus and Beijing Venus, and Shanghai Venus gradually faded out. Up to now, most of the Venus brand pens that can still be seen in the counters are made by Beijing Venus.

Newly-born brands:

In the 21st century, with the rise of gel pens, the influence of pens is getting smaller and smaller. Most domestic pen factories have embarked on the road of imitation, and many newly-born brands have emerged, among which the most influential brands are those produced by Jiangxi people, such as Roche, Yiren, Classical, Huashilai, Paul, Rotten Pen, Laowen, German, Fuliwen and Laowen. These brands, except for the production line that cooperates with Hero Pen Factory, mostly take the low-end route, and have not formed great brand influence.

a brand that is special, but it is indeed a rising star-Duke. It is a brand founded by Shanghai Golden Crown Golden Pen Co., Ltd., which has made great achievements in brand management. Duke brand was registered in Europe and many countries and regions around the world, and Duke Golden Pen Co., Ltd. was established in Germany, so it was also named "Shanghai Golden Crown Golden Pen Co., Ltd." in China. Influenced by the German pen-making industry, Duke's product quality gradually improved and gained certain influence in the world. At home, under the psychological influence of Chinese people, "Duke" became "Duke of Germany". Rumor has it that the Duke's pen is made in China, while the nib is made in Germany. "German Duke" is China's own brand.

Due to Duke's success, other pen makers in China have followed suit, but due to the problems of brand management concept, time lapse and quality control, a real brand has not yet been formed. There are many negative textbooks, but from the perspective of justice and development, it is not excluded that there will be rising stars like "Duke" in these brands.

Western brands:

In China, Parker, Montblanc, Waterman and other influential brands are successful in marketing. Among them, Parker and Videos are represented by a company in Shanghai, but Parker and Videos are actually two brands.

Parker's brand awareness is caused by its long-term marketing in China, while Montblanc is positioned as a luxury brand. Compared with these two brands, Vidivin's brand influence is slightly inferior for the time being because it officially entered China late.

Other well-known brands have not been widely circulated in China, but they can be found in some online stores and counters: Pelikan, Sheaffer, LAMY (no official Chinese translation yet), OMAS, AURORA and so on.

Bellick is famous for its pen holder technology, piston inking system and interchangeable nib. Its brand history and numerous limited editions make it a plaything for many pen collectors and enthusiasts.

Xifeili is an old source of patents such as embedded nib, Shengli tip, submarine inking, TD inking, etc. In a specific period, the research on inventions and patent technologies of Xifeili and Pike Company has had a far-reaching impact on the pen-making industry in the world.

Lamy is famous for its modern industrialized appearance. Many engineers and designers are infatuated with it just because they like its industrial design appearance. It has appeared in sci-fi or realistic movies.

In addition, due to various reasons, there are still many famous Chinese pen makers who have not been informed. Including many luxury brands in Italy, Switzerland and other places famous for their hand-made.

most luxury brands keep the precise structure of "piston inking", which requires high processing technology and high cost. For some fans, its collection value and playing value are higher than the writing function.

Japanese pens:

In Asia, Japan occupies an extremely important position in the pen manufacturing industry. Japan was the first Asian country to set up a pen factory. For example, in the 192s, there were already Pilot and Platinum, and Baile produced a Japanese-style "painted pen" at the beginning of the factory. However, Japan's pen-making industry was not large at that time, and then it was destroyed by World War II. Before the 194s, Japan's pen-making industry had no position in the international industry. China and India are about ten years behind Japan. It is said that most of the production techniques were passed down from Japan, mainly imitation, and no original and personalized handicraft products came out, which had little impact on the early development of the international pen-making industry.

The famous brands of Japanese pens in the world are mainly Pilot, Platinum and Syaraku.

among them, the styles produced by Baile are more diverse and the sales channels are more flexible.

Platinum is famous for its solid materials, fine workmanship and famous 3776 series nib.

Syaraku is famous for the hand-made nib of its founder, Chang Yuan Xuan Yi. The nib of Syaraku's pen style changes a lot, and the more famous one is the Long Knife Research Series.
