1, adjust the spring
The hardness adjustment of front hydraulic shock absorber of motorcycle is determined by increasing or decreasing hydraulic oil. Less oil will be softer, and more oil will be harder. Pressure must be used to adjust the shock absorption. The lower spring seat has a step, and the current state of the step is the most relaxed state of spring pre-tightening.
In other words, this shock absorption is the softest at present. Press the spring up with a tool, turn and climb a step, and it will harden once. In a few steps, the pre-tightening force can be tightened several degrees.
Step 2 lower the body
The front shock absorber cannot be adjusted, but it can be fine-tuned by increasing or decreasing the oil of the shock absorber if necessary. Generally, there is a device at the bottom of the rear shock absorber that can adjust the spring hardness. When the shock absorber is modified, the short spring is selected. After the body is lowered, the center of gravity of the vehicle is lowered. Everyone knows that the lower the center of gravity, the more stable it is, and the same is true in the car. Moreover, the visual effect is better after the car body is lowered.
3. Damping oil discharge
Drain the damping oil from the shock absorber. After cleaning, add a proper amount of damping oil. As long as the internal spring is not too weak. There is a hexagon socket head bolt on the front shock absorber, which is used to adjust the elasticity of the shock absorber. The adjustment method of motorcycle rear shock absorber is that the rear shock absorber is generally set to the fifth gear, which is usually placed in the softest gear when leaving the factory, and can be adjusted with a special hook wrench.
Working principle of shock absorber:
In the suspension system, the elastic element is impacted and vibrates. In order to improve the ride comfort of the car, the shock absorber is installed in parallel with the elastic elements in the suspension. In order to attenuate vibration, most of the shock absorbers used in automobile suspension system are hydraulic shock absorbers. Its working principle is that when the frame (or car body) moves relative to the axle, the piston in the shock absorber moves up and down.
The oil in the shock absorber cavity repeatedly flows from one cavity to another through different holes. At this time, the friction between the hole wall and the engine oil and the internal friction between the engine oil molecules form a damping force on the vibration, so that the vibration energy of the automobile is converted into engine oil heat energy, which is absorbed by the shock absorber and radiated to the atmosphere.
When the oil channel section and other factors are constant, the damping force increases or decreases with the relative movement speed of the frame and axle (or wheel), and it is related to the viscosity of oil.
