Prescription: 260g Laiyang Pear Clear Ointment, 50ml Ephedra Extract, 15ml Almond Water
20ml Beilianthus Ginseng Extract, 10ml Lily Extract, Polygala Extract 12.5ml
Platycodon grandiflorum extract 25ml Menthol 0.625g
Preparation method: Take the above eight flavors, take another 450g of sucrose, add an appropriate amount of water to dissolve, add an appropriate amount of sodium benzoate and Laiyang pear clearing
p>Boil the paste, filter it, let it cool, add five kinds of fluid extracts including ephedra extract, almond water, and menthol (dissolve with 5ml of ethanol
), and stir well. Add water to 1000ml and filter.
Characteristics: This product is a brown to tan thick liquid with aroma, sweet, slightly sour and cool taste.

Shake and extract 3 times, the first time is 15ml. Take 10 ml each of the second and third times, combine the ether solutions, evaporate to dryness, add 1 ml of methanol to the residue to dissolve, and use it as the test solution; take another ephedrine hydrochloride reference substance, add methanol to make a solution containing ephedrine hydrochloride per 1 ml. 1mg solution,
as reference solution. According to the thin layer chromatography (Appendix IV B) test, draw 10 μl of each of the above two solutions, and point them on the same silica gel G thin layer plate respectively. Use chloroform-methanol-concentrated ammonia test solution (20: 5:0.5) as the developing agent,
unfold, take out, dry, spray with ninhydrin test solution, and bake at 105°C for about 5 minutes. In the chromatogram of the test product, spots of the same color appear at the positions corresponding to the chromatogram of the control substance.
Check that the relative density should be 1.22~1.28 (Appendix VII A).
The pH value should be 4.0~5.5 (Appendix VII G).
Others should comply with the relevant regulations under syrup (Appendix I J).
Functions and Indications: Antitussive and expectorant, used for coughs with phlegm caused by colds and acute and chronic bronchitis.
Usage and dosage: Take orally, 10ml once, 4 times a day; reduce dosage for children.
