Electric forklift refers to a forklift that runs on electricity, and most of it works on batteries. Battery is a kind of battery, its function is to store limited electric energy and use it in the right place. Below, I will share the maintenance method of electric forklift battery for you, hoping to help you!
Matters needing attention
During the charging and discharging process of the battery, the water in the electrolyte will gradually decrease due to electrolysis and evaporation, resulting in the decrease of the electrolyte level. If it is not replenished in time, the service life of the battery may be shortened, and distilled water should be replenished in time. Never use drinking pure water instead, because pure water contains a variety of trace elements, which will have adverse effects on the battery.
When adding electrolyte or water to the battery, it should be noted that the electrolyte is higher than the plate10 ~15 mm; For batteries with two red lines, the electrolyte must not exceed the red line above. If the electrolyte is too full, it will overflow from the small hole of the battery cover. Once it flows between the anode and cathode of the battery, it will form a loop self-discharge. In this case, the electrolyte should be wiped off or washed with boiling water.
If something accidentally falls into the electrolyte, never fish with metal objects, but use a wooden stick to clip out impurities; If fishing with iron wire or copper wire, metal molecules will enter the battery under the corrosion of sulfuric acid, forming self-discharge and damaging the battery.
If the vehicle stops driving for more than 20 days, the negative battery wire should be removed to avoid leakage accidents.
Forklift battery
1. Adopt polyester fiber exhaust pipe, which has good elasticity, small aperture, low resistance and high air permeability;
2. Completely insulated soft connecting wire, no leakage current;
3. The valve structure is used to open the top plug with a special electrolyte level indicator;
4. A liquid injection cap with automatic water replenishment;
5. Adopt high porosity and low resistance microporous imported high-quality inclined baffle;
6. PP battery cover material is adopted, which is impact-resistant;
7. The patented terminal sealing structure completely prevents the growth and leakage of the polar plate.
Daily maintenance
1. The battery should always be supplemented with distilled water (pure water).
2. If the electric forklift is not used for a long time, the battery should be fully charged and put on hold. And keep charging at a frequency of 1~2 months.
3. When the electric storage forklift works in multiple shifts, it needs to have a spare battery (in the case of continuous work, the battery consumes electricity quickly and the battery loss is relatively large).
4. When charging the battery, the charging loop must be completely separated from the chopper, because the overvoltage generated by the charger will not only affect the charging of the charger, but also damage the chopper.
5. Do not place the battery horizontally. Because the battery is generally 22 ~ 28% dilute sulfuric acid. When the battery is placed upright, the electrolyte can submerge the electrode plate, and there is still a little space. If the battery is placed horizontally, some electrode plates will be exposed to the air, which is very unfavorable to the electrode plates of the battery. Moreover, the observation hole of the battery or the exhaust port at the top of the battery is communicated with the outside, so the electrolyte is easy to flow out when the battery is placed horizontally.
6. Choose smart chargers in stages to prevent water loss caused by overcharge.
7. Choose an efficient electric hub system to reduce the working current.
8. Always charge or maintain a reasonable charging frequency, and it is best to charge in a planned way. For example, once a day or once every two days.
9. Prevent storage due to power failure, which is the most harmful to the battery.
