Automobile chassis patent

With the continuous popularization of new energy, the market of pure trams is getting better and better. Before BYD appeared, it can be said that Tesla has always occupied the whole market by itself. In the field of pure electric, not only has its own strong intellectual property rights, but also has certain technology, so it can be said that there is basically no opponent.

Later, with the continuous efforts of BYD, it can finally compete with Tesla, but how big is the gap between the two cars? We have to analyze it from three aspects, that is, it is a truth to have a fuel car, that is, three major pieces.

What is the gap between BYD and Tesla? Speaking of the gap, BYD is still a little bit, otherwise Tesla would not have been so popular in China, and quite the whole market was occupied by them. Although there were Tucki and Weilai during this period, BYD and Tesla were still relatively strong in market share, so the comparison between them is meaningful.

One of the comparisons: the motor is the most critical thing for pure electric vehicles. This is similar to the engine of a fuel car. Whether a car is good or not depends on its start. Why else do BMW Mercedes-Benz Japanese cars sell so well? The key is that the engine is better, which is also recognized. Therefore, for electric vehicles, the first thing to compare is the motor.

At present, in the whole tram market, motors can be divided into two types, one is asynchronous motor and the other is permanent magnet motor. Tesla uses an asynchronous motor, which has a very simple structure, relatively cheap price and convenient maintenance.

However, his shortcomings are: relatively large volume, poor speed regulation and low light load power factor, while BYD uses its own permanent magnet motor, which has relatively small volume, small moment of inertia and high power density. The disadvantages are relatively high price and difficult adjustment.

The two can be said to be opposite. The advantage of asynchronous motor is the disadvantage of permanent magnet motor, and each car company naturally determines it according to its own choice. If it wants to go on for a long time, independent development is definitely better, because it will not be restricted.

Both have their own advantages in speed. Take Tesla for example. Under normal circumstances, it takes about 5.6 seconds to accelerate the model3 300 km, while BYD Han only needs about 3.9 seconds. Although the prices of the two are different, the speed of BYD's permanent magnet motor is still relatively good.

However, in terms of endurance performance, according to relevant data, BYD travels 50 kilometers more than Tesla under the same configuration and environment.

As can be seen from the motor, BYD is obviously superior to Tesla.

Comparison 2: Battery is the second life and the most critical factor of pure electric vehicles. Whether the battery is good or not represents how far you can go, which I believe is also very important. Many people who buy electric cars are most concerned about the battery and how far it can run. Then I think BYD is doing better. Why do you say that? Let's analyze and compare:

At present, there are probably two kinds of batteries on the market, which are also the most common, namely ternary lithium battery and lithium iron phosphate blade battery. Lithium iron phosphate battery is known as the safest car battery technology, which is independently developed by BYD. At present, Tesla uses ternary lithium batteries, and BYD uses lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, which BYD has always been proud of.

Ternary lithium battery can be said to have very high voltage, long cruising range and relatively fast speed, but its disadvantage is poor stability. In case of wading short circuit or collision, it is easy to open fire or even explosion. It can be said that the security is relatively poor.

The key point is that Tesla's batteries are purchased, not independently developed, including our domestic listed company Contemporary Ampere Technology Co., Ltd. as its supplier.

The advantage of lithium ferrous phosphate blade battery is that the P-O bond in the crystal is stable and safe, and even if some unexpected situations occur, the battery will not explode and its service life will be longer.

But there are also some disadvantages, that is, low energy density and poor low temperature performance. Nothing else is too big a problem. Most importantly, this battery is also developed by BYD itself, so it can be said that the stability is definitely high. So from this perspective, BYD is still better.

Comparison 3: The electronic control of the electric control pure electric vehicle is equivalent to the gearbox of the fuel vehicle, which is also very important, because it needs him to control the stability of the whole vehicle and also determines the stability of the power output when the pure electric vehicle is driving.

Among the three pieces, the only thing Tesla can produce is this electronic control technology, which belongs to his own research and development and has certain patented technology, which can be said to be very good.

Similarly, BYD has its own electronic control technology. Although it is not as good as Tesla to some extent, this electronic control technology is very advanced at least in China.

The key of pure tramcar is motor and electric control technology, because this is the biggest factor that determines its acceleration, high-speed operation and climbing performance. From my personal experience, I don't think there is much difference between them in climbing or high speed. Of course, it is undeniable that Tesla's electronic control technology is very good, otherwise he can't stand firm in the international arena.

Comparison 4: Unmanned driving At present, Tesla's unmanned driving can be said to be very good, at least at the same price, it is still very leading, which we still have to admit. Because Tesla's driverless driving can be said to have done very well internationally. When Tesla was launched, it seemed that there was no driver, but BYD was not without it for the time being, and it could only achieve L2-level assisted driving.

However, Wang Chuanfu, the boss of BYD, once said that "safety is the biggest luxury of electric vehicles", so the safety of this driverless car is also crucial.

Therefore, from the perspective of this autonomous driving technology, BYD is not as good as Tesla for the time being, but it is hard to say whether it can break through this situation in the future, because Baidu has launched driverless driving, and if the two sides can cooperate, it should be able to break this bottleneck.

The fifth comparison: Tesla's previous car system can be said to be not very good, but with more and more subsequent accidents, people are somewhat confused, such as crashes, jams, slow response and unrecognizable sounds. This situation still happens frequently, so the car feels that Tesla is still relatively poor.

On the other hand, BYD has done a good job, not only the Korean EV has done a good job, but also other models, so I personally think BYD has done a better job in the car series.

Comparison 6: Appearance and Interior When Tesla first entered the domestic market, it can be said that the appearance and interior are very eye-catching, especially the scissor door is a bit like a super run, but with mass production and different needs, it feels that the appearance is getting uglier and uglier now.

Anyway, BYD's appearance is getting more and more exquisite, and other aspects are also doing well. The whole car looks very high-end atmosphere, and it is also integrated into our domestic history and culture, which can be said to be very good. The interior can also be said to be fine workmanship. From this perspective, BYD is better.

Therefore, from the comparison of these six aspects, although there is still a certain distance between BYD and Tesla, with the progress of time and the update of technology, I believe that one day it will surpass Tesla and become a world-class pure tram.

Finally: Why does BYD give people the impression that there is some gap with Tesla? In fact, it is still a question of brand influence, because in the hearts of Chinese people, BYD has always been a relatively low-end model. In the past, it was the only way for them to enter the market, but now it is still very difficult to establish a good brand.

Even though some of his models can be the same as the mid-to high-end models, it is still difficult for people to accept the influence of his previous low-end brands. Therefore, it will give you an illusion that BYD and Tesla are still far behind.
