Confucius once said, "See Si Qi", and people often say that "the power of an example is infinite." My example is Marie Curie.
In order to extract pure radium, the Curies got a ton of industrial waste residue which may contain radium. They set up pots in the yard to smelt, and then sent them to the laboratory for dissolution and precipitation analysis. Finally, she discovered the natural radioactive element-radium.
I admire Madame Curie's personality. Madame Curie regarded fame and fortune as dirt. She could have applied for a patent immediately after discovering radium, and thus gained a large fortune. However, instead of doing so, she did not hesitate to publicize the purification method of radium.
Madame Curie's noble character is just like her outstanding scientific achievements. She is strong, pure-willed and strict with herself, which makes me have to respect her!
Thank you!
