Chen Shilin, male, chief researcher, is currently the director of the Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the director of the World Health Organization Traditional Medicine Cooperation Center, the academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, and the vice chairman of CGCM (Chinese Medicine Globalization Alliance). He used to be the director of the Institute of Medicinal Plants of China Academy of Medical Sciences, a visiting professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and received professional training at the Royal Botanical Garden, and a visiting scholar at McLean Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He is currently a visiting professor at Tokyo Pharmaceutical University in Japan and a member of the Chinese Medicine Advisory Group of the United States Pharmacopoeia. Changjiang Scholar, the project leader of the Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education, served as the deputy editor-in-chief of APSB, China Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmaceutical Journal.

Chen Shilin established the method system of DNA barcode identification of Chinese herbal medicines based on ITS2 internationally, and completed the monograph "Standard Sequence of DNA barcode of Chinese herbal medicines in China Pharmacopoeia", which solved the problem of authenticity identification of Chinese herbal medicines from the genetic level and was rated as one of the top ten medical advances in China in 20 16.
Through genome-wide analysis, it is proposed that Ganoderma lucidum is the first medicinal model fungus based on traditional Chinese medicine, and it has been selected as the best research highlight in China by NatureChina.
Complete and publish the genome map of ginseng, salvia miltiorrhiza, ganoderma lucidum, chrysanthemum, Selaginella, andrographis paniculata and ganoderma lucidum and related omics research, successfully cultivate and obtain six certificates of new varieties or improved varieties of Chinese herbal medicines, edit and develop the subject basis of Materia Medica Genomics, which was published by Science Press and listed as the planning textbook of national medical colleges and universities;
