The Queshan Iron Flower, also known as the Iron Flower, is the only remaining large-scale traditional folk fireworks in Henan Province. It is known as "the best folk fireworks" and "a wonder of Central Plains culture". It originated in the Northern Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has a history of more than a thousand years. The earliest blacksmith activity in Queshan County was full of Taoist colors and industry characteristics. It had rich cultural connotations and was once on the verge of extinction. In February 2007, "Queshan Tiehua" was announced by the Henan Provincial People's Government as "the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in Henan Province". In June 2008, it was announced by the State Council and the Ministry of Culture as "the second batch of intangible cultural heritage in the country". "Heritage", this is also the only national-level intangible cultural heritage project of ironwork performance in China, and its performance form has also obtained a national patent.
