How many times does the butt length of steel wire rope with a diameter of 15.5mm need to meet the requirements?

15-20 times the wire rope diameter meets the requirements.

Small butt joints are generally 40 ~ 50 times the diameter of steel wire rope. For ropes used in important positions, the joint length can be extended to 80 ~ 100 times.

The splicing length of single strand in large butt joint (large butt joint method) is generally 180 times the diameter of steel wire rope, that is to say, the broken end length of a steel wire rope should be greater than 3X 180d, and the total length of both ends should be 2X3X 180d. For example, φ24.5 steel wire rope must be inserted 2X3X 180X24.5=26460mm once.

The commonly used connection method is braided rope sleeve. Sleeve the rope on the heart-shaped ring, and then tie the end with steel wire. The rope length (rope diameter) shall be ≥ 15d and shall not be less than 300mm.

When two steel wire ropes are butted, the length of the braided rope should not be less than 15d, and should not be less than 300mm, and the strength should not be less than 75% of the breaking force of the steel wire rope.

Another way is wire rope clamping. The times of rope clamping are related to the rope diameter, which is 7 ~ 16 mm, which should be counted as three times of rope clamping; 9 ~ 27 mm should be 4; 28 ~ 37 mm should be 5; 38 ~ 45 mm should be 6 pieces. The spacing between rope clamps should not be less than 6 times the diameter of wire rope. When connecting, the rope clamping plate should be at the long end of the wire rope, that is, the stressed end. The connection strength should not be less than 85% of the breaking tension of steel wire rope.

When connecting by cone sleeve casting method, the connection strength should reach the breaking tension of steel wire rope.

When aluminum alloy sleeve compression method is used for connection, the connection strength should reach 100% of the breaking tension of steel wire rope.

In any case, there must be no less than 2 ~ 3 safety rings on the wire rope drum.
