What is infrared stealth technology?

Infrared stealth technology is to improve the structural design, making infrared detection equipment difficult to find. Weapons can also be designed as infrared absorbing materials, so the infrared emitted by weapons is mainly its engine part, and it is the same for tanks, vehicles and ships. The engine will release a lot of heat and radiate more infrared rays, which are easy to be found by infrared reconnaissance. Additives can be added to the fuel to greatly weaken the infrared radiation in the exhaust gas. In addition, infrared radiation can be reduced by improving the engine nozzle and covering the surface of aircraft or tanks with some materials that absorb thermal radiation, all of which can play the role of not being discovered by infrared reconnaissance. Modern aircraft, warships, missiles and other large weapons are equipped with many radars, radio stations, electromagnetic interference equipment, navigation equipment and so on. The electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic equipment are easily intercepted and identified by the enemy, so it is easy to expose the target. Reducing the active electromagnetic radiation of the target is also an important aspect of stealth technology.
