In 1989, he held an exhibition of his collection of ancient Japanese pottery. Someone wanted to buy his entire collection at a high price, but he remained unmoved and instead donated more than 1,300 pieces of treasure to the Liaoning Provincial Museum. He said: "What a wonderful collection, but it also belongs to someone else. I have studied it thoroughly. I want to make pottery and write the name Xing Liangkun into the history of ceramics." In the next five years, Xing Liangkun walked around the clay and the kiln day and night, kneading the clay, drying the water, and entering the kiln... He worked more than 20 hours a day and experienced tens of thousands of times. After failure, I came up with my own parameters such as glaze dipping, moisture treatment, humidity of the embryo, and smoke level entering the kiln. Every day, Xing Liangkun burns four kilns, uses three or four 50-kilogram cans of liquefied gas, and squeezes out four tons of mud. In a year, he "burns" at least two to three million yuan. At the end of the day, the restaurant was forced out, his wife ran away, and he didn't even have the money to eat noodles. Xing Liangkun went bankrupt again. While devoted to ceramic art creation, Xing Liangkun also serves as a visiting professor at Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and a researcher at Nanjing Museum. His hobby is racing cars. He likes to drive and drive fast. What he hopes most is to be able to travel around by car, but not now. He has three children, and he does not want to pass on his skills to them.
