Xiaoshan patent dental prosthetics

There are three common methods. Here is a brief introduction.

Method one. Removable denture is to use the remaining teeth in the mouth as abutment, turn the denture into a whole through the base of various materials, and then fix the denture on the abutment with a clasp that acts as a hook to restore chewing function. Its advantages are wide application range, the number of missing teeth can be used by this method, the price is relatively low, there are few molars, it is convenient to take and wear, and it is beneficial to oral cleaning. Disadvantages are that dentures are bulky, unaccustomed to wearing for the first time, disgusting, foreign body sensation, affecting pronunciation, taking a long time to adapt, poor retention effect and average aesthetic performance.

Method 2: Fixing false teeth: Fix false teeth with good teeth on the adjacent sides of the missing tooth space. This method needs to grind off a part of the good teeth at both ends, and then make an integral denture including the missing denture and fix it on the natural teeth at both sides. Advantages are small size, comfort and no foreign body sensation. There is no need to remove it every day, and the chewing function and aesthetic effect are better than that of removable denture. The disadvantage is that the application scope is limited, and it is only suitable for cases with few missing teeth, small gap between missing teeth and good abutment conditions at both ends.

Method 3: Dental implants are more stable, less mobile and more popular than traditional dentures. In developed countries, more than 50% people use this method to repair missing teeth. In China, it has also entered a period of rapid development, and it is increasingly favored by patients. Experts also said that the denture embedded by the traditional method, because there is no root support, the complete denture base rides on the gum and is supported by the absorption of oral saliva, and the gingival mucosa is directly stressed; However, some dentures with missing teeth are mostly supported by adjacent teeth, which need clasp retention or cutting adjacent teeth for braces retention, and adjacent teeth are easy to be damaged.

These are some simple instructions. I hope it works for you.
