Planting guide:
I. Plant species:
Crystal mud is suitable for planting indoor foliage plants or indoor hydroponic plants with strong adaptability, such as herbs, palms, pineapples, bamboos, Lycoris radiata, iron, bamboo and taro. Not suitable for planting woody plants, flowers and succulents that need sunlight.
1. Herbs: Evergreen, Marian, Crown, Black Beauty, Smooth Sail, Anthurium, Reed, Golden Branches and Jade Leaves, Emerald, Tiger Orchid, Purple Back Evergreen, Snow White, etc.
2. Cinnamon: pocket coconut, cycad broadleaf tree, cycad butterfly, iron leaf sunflower, sundew sunflower, sundew sunflower, brown bamboo sunflower, etc.
3. Bamboo: Jiaojiao Bamboo, Mosaic Bamboo, Watermelon Bamboo, Rainbow Bamboo, Velvet Bamboo, etc.
4. Lycoris radiata: Narcissus, hyacinthus orientalis, etc.
5. Iron: red iron, Phnom Penh iron, silver edge iron, multicolored iron, etc.
6. Bamboo: Fu Guizhu, Fu Guijin Bianzhu, Fu Guiyin Bianzhu, Asparagus Bamboo, Tortoise Shell Bamboo, Little Angel, Phnom Penh Cash Tree, etc.
7, taro: flower taro, pointed taro, small white leaf taro and so on.
8, cactus, aloe vera
Second, the preparation work before planting:
1. The planted plants need a period of time to adapt to the crystal soil environment, and the emergence of seedlings may be delayed; Choose varieties suitable for planting. Plants cultivated in the soil should be wetted with water first, and then the plants should be removed from the soil, cut off the damaged and rotten roots and leaves, washed and dried. Do not damage the main root during the operation. It is best to soak with flower disinfectant before planting.
2. Most shade plants can be planted with crystal mud after their roots are washed and dried. A few plants can only be transplanted after hydroponics (hydroponics time depends on temperature and plant conditions). The roots of plants that need hydroponics should be washed with mud, then put into water and changed every 4 days. After hydroponics, they can't be planted until new roots grow.
3. Color combination and collocation: After soaking, it is best to combine a container with 1-2 color crystal mud, and it is best to choose crystal mud with similar color for collocation. For example, red, orange, yellow and purple are a series (choose one from the other); Cyan, blue and green are a series (choose two).
4. Dry crystal mud particles should be soaked in 50- 100 times of water for 2-4 hours (note: do not stir when soaking), and like dry plants, such as bluegrass and cactus. When in use, the soaking ratio can be appropriately reduced to about 1: (50-80). It is best to soak the crystal mud with clear water (such as distilled water, mineral water, purified water and cold boiled water). Before foaming, reserve a small amount of dry crystal mud particles and put them at the bottom of the basin when planting to absorb excess water.
When some plants are preparing, don't let water drop on the leaves when they are injected, the leaves will rot as soon as there is water, and don't spray water on them at ordinary times. Such as cherubs, bamboos, cash cows, Marianne, Amazon and so on.
6. Wash the container and dry it. First, put the reserved dry crystal mud particles on the bottom of the basin to absorb excess water, then put the crystal mud that has absorbed excess water, let the roots stretch out, and put the crystal mud evenly around the roots. When most of the roots are covered, gently lift the plants upward to make the roots smooth, and then gently compact the crystal mud by hand. The container for planting crystal mud should not be too large, and the volume is generally 250-2500 ml, which is suitable for planting indoor dwarf evergreen foliage plants.
7. If possible, it is best to use glassware with air holes at the bottom.
Third, the nursing after planting
1. After transplanting, some roots of plants will be damaged and rotted or some leaves will turn yellow regardless of soil species, hydroponics or crystal mud planting. Just cut off the yellow leaves. Root rot will affect growth, so cut off the rotten roots in time and plant them in crystal mud. If there are many rotten roots, you need to dump the crystal mud, cut off the rotten roots, and clean and filter the crystal mud before planting.
2. If the surface of the crystal mud is stained with dust or dirt, the crystal mud on the surface can be taken out, washed with water, soaked and reduced, dried and put into a container.
3. The nutrients in the crystal mud can be used for slow-growing plants to grow for about half a year. When in use, crystal mud can be added or replaced in time according to plants and their growth conditions, and a proper amount of nutrient solution suitable for plant growth can be added regularly.
4. Most plants should spray foliar water in 1-2 weeks (foliar water should be sprayed with foliar fertilizer), but it is not advisable to spray it frequently, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow easily. Crystal mud itself has a strong moisturizing ability, so don't water it at ordinary times. When the height of crystal mud drops obviously, you can add less water than the normal amount of nutrient solution to make the crystal mud reabsorb, but be careful not to fill it up, which will reduce the ventilation. Excess water should be poured out and drained.
Four. life
The finished product of crystal mud soaked in water can be used for planting flowers and arranging flowers, and the indoor service life should be 2-6 months. Ornaments used in indoor crafts (no flowers, flower arrangement) have a slightly longer service life.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) matters needing attention
(1) The above plant varieties are only suitable varieties transplanted into crystal mud after traditional soil cultivation in southwest China, and the climate and environment in different regions will be different, depending on the effect of local plant planting test; The product should be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place for 2 years. Crystal mud can not be planted in direct sunlight, nor can it be used in places with high humidity. Crystal mud itself has no smell, and excess water or plant root rot will produce smell. It is best to use pure water and distilled water for planting, not tap water, because tap water contains chlorine ions for sterilization, which has bleaching effect on crystal mud, and the use of tap water will accelerate the fading of crystal mud; All the contents of this paper are summarized from the planting experience in the southwest work area of China for reference only. Improper plants or improper planting methods are not easy to survive, which has nothing to do with the quality of crystal mud. Planting should be adapted to local conditions, and plants should not be planted blindly from other provinces, because plants are determined by the local climate and the cold or heat tolerance of plants themselves.
It is suggested that agents master hydroponics technology, buy books on flower planting and plant plants suitable for local planting.
