Research direction: intelligent instruments and measurement and control systems.
Have been engaged in teaching and research of measurement and control technology and instrumentation for a long time. In the past five years, he has presided over more than 20 key science and technology projects of Hubei Province, Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation projects, Hubei Provincial Department of Education, enterprises, and institutions, and earned more than 2 million yuan from scientific research. As the project leader, he won one third prize of China Petrochemical Automation Science and Technology Award in 2007; one third prize of Wuhan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2008; and one second prize of China Petrochemical Industry Association Science and Technology Progress Award in 2009; In 2010, he won the third prize of the first Wuhan Natural Science Excellent Academic Paper Award. In 2009, he was awarded an invention patent; in 2007, he won the first prize for teaching research at Wuhan Engineering University and many other awards; in 2008, he compiled a textbook; in 2010, he published a monograph. Obtained 1 applicable new patent in 2011. He has published 69 research papers as the first author in domestic and foreign core journals, 16 of which were indexed by EI; he has mentored 12 graduate students, and in 2009, he won one Excellent Master's Thesis in Hubei Province.
