Is hydraulic suspension a patent of Citroen?

From 65438 to 0989, Citroen independently developed the world's first suspension device: hydraulic power suspension, which combines electronic intelligence and hydraulic flexibility technology. The hydraulic suspension can automatically switch from one suspension state to another ("normal" or "moving").

Citroen C5 and C6 are equipped with the third generation active hydraulic suspension. Adaptive suspension system can automatically change the height of the vehicle. The system has two operation modes: comfort mode and sport mode, and can switch modes according to road conditions and driving styles. In addition, the hydraulic suspension system not only has two kinds of hardness, but also has as many as 16 variable damping modes, which can manage four wheels independently. The switching speed between different damping control modes is extremely fast (2.5 milliseconds, that is, up to 400 times per minute), which enables the system to control the load on each wheel in real time by changing the damping during the vertical movement of the suspension. Therefore, the system can absorb road bumps more effectively.
