The difference between patent invalidation and prior art defense

Invalidation is a defense that denies the other party's patent right as non-infringement, starting from three aspects: novelty, creativity and practicality.

The defense of existing technology is to claim that the accused technology scheme used the technology that was made public before the patent application date on the premise of recognizing the other party's patent right. The existing technology and patented technology can be the same or different. If they are the same, they can be used to deny the novelty of patented technology in invalidation.
