TPR material is a kind of thermoplastic soft rubber, which has rubber elasticity and can be directly processed (such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.) without vulcanization. ). TPR material is a mixed modified material based on thermoplastic styrene-butadiene rubber (SBS, SEBS), with resin (such as PP, PS), filler, plasticizing oil and other functional additives. The color is transparent or white particles; The shape is particles, generally spherical particles, ellipsoidal particles and thin round rods, with bright surface and good reflective performance.
TPR materials are widely used in daily necessities, adult products, hardware tools, luggage wheels, sports equipment, toy products, auto parts, medical supplies, wires and cables, electronic appliances, communication instruments, shoes and so on. Among them, shoe material and toy industry are the main application fields of SBS substrate TPR.
Basic characteristics of TPR materials
Rubber has excellent resilience, wear resistance, skid resistance and shock absorption. TPR material is superior to rubber in softness and comfort, but it is inferior to vulcanized rubber in tensile strength, fatigue resistance and mechanical properties. The temperature range is -45~90℃. Generally, the TPR material is based on SBS, and its chemical properties are as follows: general weather resistance and aging resistance, and temperature resistance is 70~75℃. If you need a material with good aging resistance and temperature resistance, you can choose the modified material of SEBS substrate.
Hardness characteristics: the hardness of TPR material can be adjusted between Shore hardness 5~ 100 degrees, and the modified material based on SEBS can be adjusted to a lower hardness. Processing characteristics, TPR materials have good adhesion with some glue, ink and so on. It has good ink-jet screen printing processing performance.
Environmental protection characteristics, TPR material as an environmentally friendly soft rubber, the main harmful substances such as plasticizer phthalate, nonylphenol NP, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons PAHs detection, in line with ROHS, REACH, EN7 1-3, ASTMF963 environmental protection detection standards.
