The college has three undergraduate majors: pharmacy, biotechnology and bioscience, among which biotechnology is a characteristic major in Hunan Province, with more than 500 undergraduate students. There is 1 drug research and development base (in cooperation with American Kangzeren Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.); Key disciplines of Hunan Province (Pharmacology) 1, Key Laboratory of Colleges and Universities of Hunan Province (Pharmacology of protein) 1, Basic disciplines supported by Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) 1, and 2 key disciplines of South China University (Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology). Two excellent courses in Hunan Province (pharmacology, biochemistry and molecular biology), University of South China 1 excellent course (genetics), and eight key courses in University of South China (cell biology, laboratory animal science, natural medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, plant biology, genetic engineering, molecular biology and animal biology); Two disciplines (pharmacology, biochemistry and molecular biology) have two master's degree authorization points. 1998 began to recruit doctoral students and graduate students jointly with central south university 100.
