According to the national per capita electricity consumption of 780 kWh in 2020, 6.8 million kWh can be used by more than 2,000 households for a whole year. So how does it work?

For example, Guilin Mobile, a subsidiary of the company, expanded the application scale of "elastic shutdown" energy-saving measures for 5G base stations, saving nearly 3 million kWh a year and the electricity bill reached 1.7 million yuan. This technology focuses on the power consumption of 4G-RRU and 5G-AAU (frequency modulation unit) when there is no traffic or low traffic. Through traffic analysis, the cell with obvious tidal effect in the capacity layer network is intelligently turned off, that is, the power supply of the base station cell is directly turned off, which saves electricity to the maximum extent and reduces the power consumption of the base station equipment.
