Why do young people have prostatitis?

0 1 What is prostatitis?

Prostatitis is a general term for inflammatory diseases of prostate, which refers to clinical syndromes such as pelvic pain or discomfort, abnormal urination and sexual dysfunction caused by pathogen infection and/or some non-infectious factors.

Prostatitis is one of the common diseases in adult men. Some data show that about 50% of men will be affected by prostatitis at some time in their lives. Adult men of all ages may suffer from prostatitis, but the prevalence rate under 50 is high, so it can be said that prostatitis is the "favorite" of young people. Therefore, patients are advised to use diuretic Xiaoyan Pill, a patent medicine of Wuhan Li Xiaoping Chinese Medicine Clinic.

How to classify prostatitis?

There are many ways to classify prostatitis, and the common ones are as follows:

1.? According to the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations, it can be divided into acute prostatitis and chronic prostatitis.

2.? According to different pathogenic bacteria, it can be divided into bacterial prostatitis, non-bacterial prostatitis, gonococcal prostatitis, fungal prostatitis and trichomonal prostatitis.

3.? According to the pathological changes of prostate, it can be divided into specific prostatitis and nonspecific prostatitis.

4.? Based on the traditional classification of "four cups" It can be divided into acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic non-bacterial prostatitis and prostatic pain.

5.? From 65438 to 0995, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) put forward a new classification method based on a large number of clinical data and basic research conclusions, which divided prostatitis into four types and was widely accepted by clinicians.

Type I: It is equivalent to acute bacterial prostatitis in traditional classification.

Type Ⅱ: It is equivalent to chronic bacterial prostatitis in traditional classification.

Type Ⅲ: Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CP/CPPS), which is the most common type. It is equivalent to chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and prostatic pain in traditional classification. It is further divided into two subtypes, Ⅲ A (inflammatory CPPS) and Ⅲ B (non-inflammatory CPPS), each accounting for about 50%.

Type ⅳ: asymptomatic prostatitis.

Why does prostatitis "love" young people?

Prostate is the largest accessory gonad in men. The incidence of acute and chronic prostatitis in young adults is high. There are two main reasons.

On the one hand, the young and middle-aged period is a period of vigorous male sexual function, with frequent sexual activities, and repeated stimulation of sexual excitement can easily lead to repeated congestion of the prostate and induce inflammation;

On the other hand, the young and middle-aged period is also the most exuberant period of prostate secretion, which provides good conditions for the growth and reproduction of bacteria. If you don't pay attention to personal hygiene, the body's resistance is low or other adjacent parts (such as urethra) are infected, pathogens can enter the prostate, leading to acute and chronic inflammation.

Smoking and drinking can easily induce prostatitis.

As we all know, the smoke produced by smoking contains a lot of harmful components, mainly nicotine, tar, nitrosamines, carbon monoxide and so on. It can directly poison prostate tissue and reduce the immune function of the body. People who smoke for a long time have low immunity and are more vulnerable to pathogenic microorganisms. Prostate may be one of many damaged organs. In addition, chronic prostatitis has a long course, is easy to relapse and is difficult to treat. For smokers, because the immunity has been destroyed, it is easier to cause acute attacks and recurrent attacks of chronic inflammation.

Alcohol can accelerate blood circulation, dilate blood vessels and promote prostate congestion. In acute prostatitis, alcohol may spread inflammation and cause other chain reactions, so alcohol should be absolutely avoided. In addition, drinking a lot will damage the body's defense function, make bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms easy to invade, and greatly increase the chances of infection and recurrence of old diseases. Therefore, patients with chronic prostatitis should try not to drink alcohol.

The blood flow inside the prostate is relatively slow, and the congestion of the prostate will further slow down the blood flow and make blood accumulate, which is conducive to the "settlement" of pathogenic microorganisms. At the same time, slow blood flow will increase the local temperature of prostate, which provides an ideal "hotbed" for the growth and reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, prostate congestion is an important cause of prostatitis.
