"Information Resource Management" is a selective examination subject set by our school to recruit Master's students in Library, Information and Archives Management. . The exam requirements are to test whether candidates are familiar with academic resources and master information retrieval methods.
Examination scope:
1. Basic knowledge framework
Types of document carriers, publication types and labels of documents, document classification in libraries, "Chinese Books" Basic categories and classification numbers of the Library Classification, types of patents, classifications of patent specifications, "International Patent Classification Table", types of standards, composition of national standard codes, information retrieval approaches and methods, basic network retrieval skills, Common network domain names and their meanings, authoritative network information resources, scientific digital resources and technical data resources, etc.
2. Utilization of literature databases
Be familiar with commonly used Chinese and foreign databases corresponding to different publication types of documents, master the search methods and procedures of databases, and master the selection and utilization of electronic documents. Be proficient in the basic functions of full-text database readers.
3. Retrieval of commonly used network resources
Be familiar with the analysis and utilization of authoritative data information, familiar with the retrieval of important educational information, familiar with the browsing methods of excellent course resources, familiar with commonly used online dictionaries, familiar with Search and download patent documents, and understand how to search and obtain standard documents.
