Huawei has been granted the design patent for its non-perforated screen mobile phone. How far is it before the release of under-screen front-facing models?

Huawei's full screen patent authorization has been obtained, so a true full screen is not far away, which means using some under-screen camera technology to make the screen more complete without affecting the normal display effect of the phone. This can be achieved with current technology. It is no exaggeration to say that all major domestic mobile phone manufacturers basically have such technology, but they are just unwilling to push it.

ZTE has previously launched a mobile phone with an under-screen camera. It is a true under-screen camera. Unless you take the initiative to look at it in detail under the sun, the visual display of this screen will be complete. Will affect the display effect. And the camera is indeed at the bottom of the screen. Although this competitor is not yet particularly mature, it already has room for application. It is seeking perfect display effects, which of course cannot be achieved with today's technology. Because if you look at any technology with a microscope, there will be problems. For the technology that ZTE has, other domestic manufacturers even talk about Huawei. Do you think they have no research in this area?

But why are manufacturers not necessarily willing to promote this technology? Because the implementation of a new technology means that this technical reserve disappears. If all manufacturers make a tacit agreement not to promote this thing and maintain the original technical level, everyone will not need to spend too much energy on researching the next generation of reserve technology. If this flat-bottom camera technology is launched, manufacturers will definitely continue to research technologies that can be held in hand, similar to a country's strategic weapons, and can win the market, as long as they take greater risks.

There is no harm to the manufacturers if they don’t push it now. It’s just that ZTE released this technology in advance, which is equivalent to disrupting the order of the market. Other companies must have similar technologies. It has not been actually launched to the market. If it really wants to be launched, it will basically only take a few months. This is not a particularly difficult technology, and most domestic mobile phone manufacturers have similar technical reserves.
