Luncang Town covers an area of 44.6 square kilometers, located in the west of Nan 'an, in the middle reaches of Xixi River in Jinjiang, bordering Tonganxi County in the west, 40 kilometers away from Quanzhou and less than 100 kilometers away from Xiamen. Provincial Highway 308 and Zhang Quan Railway run through the whole territory.
Luncang Town was first developed in the Jin Dynasty. During the Tang Dynasty, the humanities and economy of Luncang had been relatively prosperous. During the Song Dynasty, Luncang Town belonged to Rendeli in Jinji Township, Chongshunli in Guishan Township and Jingshanli in Guishan Township respectively. With the superior conditions of Xixi in Jinjiang, the river transportation production is actively developed, which has promoted the development of other industries. The Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties changed the village into the capital, and Luncang belonged to the twenty-fourth capital to the twenty-seventh capital respectively.
In the early years of the Republic of China, Daewoo had a market and set up a market for market transactions. And set up Daewoo Township with the 26th capital as the center. 1928, the place name "Luncang" was officially launched. Luncang commune was founded in 1965. 1984, Luncang commune was abolished and Luncang township was established. 1February, 985, Luncang Township was changed to Luncang Town.
In the early 1980s, the plumbing valve enterprises in Luncang Town developed rapidly, and gradually became an important production base of plumbing valves and sanitary wares in China, which was known as "the flower of township enterprises" and "the hometown of plumbing". At present, there are more than 300 plumbing valve enterprises in the town, with more than 3,000 varieties and more than 20,000 specifications of plumbing valves and sanitary wares. The product quality has reached the domestic advanced level, with an annual output value of 65.438+0.08 billion yuan and an annual export income of more than 20 million US dollars. There are more than 2,000 sales outlets in China, and there are nearly 20,000 people who go out for supply and marketing, and the marketing volume accounts for about 60% of the national counterparts. Thirty-three enterprises in the town have passed the ISO9000 quality management system certification, Jiumu Light Industry Group has passed the ISO 14000 environmental management system certification and the national compulsory product certification (3C certification), and won the title of "National Inspection Exemption for Product Quality", Zhongyu Group and Jiumu Light Industry Group have won the title of "Fujian Famous Brand Products", and Zhongyu Group and Huihuang Plumbing have won the title of "Fujian Famous Trademarks". Nine Animal Husbandry Light Industry Group * * * owns 15 products which have won national patents, Zhongyu Group and Huihuang Plumbing Company rank among the first eight "water-saving product manufacturers" in China, Zhongyu Group is rated as one of the top 100 group companies in the province, and China Plumbing City Co., Ltd. has been established with the approval of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, becoming one of the few "national brand" enterprises.
In the second half of 2002, Luncang Town planned and built the first provincial-level professional industrial zone for township enterprises-Fujian plumbing professional industrial zone. The high starting point planning and high standard construction of the industrial zone are listed as one of the fifteen key industrial bases in the province facing the whole country.
