Huaihua university, located in Huaihua City, Hunan Province, is a full-time undergraduate college sponsored by Hunan Provincial People's Government, headed by Hunan Provincial Education Department and supported by Hunan Agricultural University.
Huaihua university, formerly known as Qianyang Teachers College, was founded in 1958. After Huaihua Teachers College and Huaihua Teachers College, it was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate college in 2002 and renamed huaihua university. In 2004, bachelor's degree was awarded, and in 20021year, master's degree was awarded to the project construction unit.
As of April 2023, the school has two campuses, covering an area of 1 158 mu and a building area of 540,000 square meters.
