In 2006, when Li was elected president of the New Energy Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, he witnessed the speed of technological innovation in the photovoltaic industry, and the cost of solar power generation dropped from 3 yuan to 50 cents. Therefore, Li pays special attention to technological innovation.
A few years later, Hanergy established eight R&D centers in Beijing, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Silicon Valley, Germany, Sweden and other places, and established a global collaborative innovation mechanism. At Hanergy's Beijing headquarters, the nearly 50-meter-long patent wall is covered with Hanergy's various patent certificates.
