The difference between prefabricated building and light steel structure building

Prefabricated building refers to the building assembled on site with prefabricated components produced by the factory. The assembly construction mode adopts standardized design, factory production and assembly construction, which transfers a large number of field operations in traditional construction methods to factories. It is a new building production mode that can realize energy saving, environmental protection and life cycle value maximization of building products.

Assembled buildings are mainly divided into three technical modes, namely, prefabricated precast concrete structure, steel structure and wood structure. The three technologies are self-contained and have their own advantages, and the light steel structure building is one of the assembled buildings.

Assembled precast concrete structure

The cost is relatively low, and it is the most widely used.

The fabricated concrete structure has low cost, and is suitable for multi-storey, small and high-rise office buildings and houses with large quantity and wide area. On the basis of the traditional technical framework, the assembled concrete structure focuses on the parts of external wall panels, internal wall panels, floors and other components, and the proportion of parts is 40% ~ 50%. If it is extended to the integration of on-site decoration, it can further reduce the cost close to that of traditional technology and realize the high efficiency of building a floor in about 5 days. It is widely used in multi-storey buildings, especially in residential areas.

Assembled wood structure

The cost is the highest, and the national conditions determine that the application scenarios are limited.

Due to China's large population, large demand for housing, and scarce per capita forest resources and timber reserves, wood structures are not suitable for China's architectural development needs. In addition, China's "Code for Design of Timber Structures" clearly stipulates that the number of wooden structures cannot exceed three, and limits the maximum length and area.

Assembled steel structure

Good earthquake resistance, different cost and wide application.

At present, the domestic steel structure industry has a high degree of marketization, low industry concentration and serious homogenization competition. According to technology and application, steel structure industry can be divided into three sub-industries: light steel structure, multi-storey steel structure and spatial steel structure.

The assembled steel structure has good seismic performance and is suitable for high-rise buildings. Assembled steel structures are mainly composed of steel beams, steel columns, steel trusses and other components made of section steel and steel plates, and the components or parts are usually connected by welding, bolts or rivets. Widely used in large factories, gymnasiums, super high-rise, residential and other fields.
