1. Drawings in the instruction manual
The drawings in the instruction manual should be drawn using drawing tools including computers and black ink. The lines should be even, clear and deep enough, and should not be colored or altered. Use engineering blueprints.
Hatch lines in section drawings shall not interfere with the clear identification of reference mark lines and principal lines.
Several drawings can be drawn on one drawing. An overall drawing can be drawn on several drawings, but it should be ensured that the drawings on each drawing are independent, and that when all the drawings are combined to form a complete overall drawing, they do not affect the clarity of each other. There should be no frames around the drawings that are irrelevant to the drawings. If the total number of drawings is more than two, they should be numbered sequentially using Arabic numerals and preceded by the word "Picture", such as Figure 1 and Figure 2. This number should be marked directly below the corresponding drawing.
The drawings should be drawn vertically on the drawing paper as much as possible and clearly separated from each other. When parts
the horizontal dimensions are significantly larger than the vertical dimensions and must be arranged horizontally, the top of the drawing should be placed on the left side of the drawing. When there are more than two drawings on a page of drawings, and one drawing has been arranged horizontally, the other drawings on the page should also be arranged horizontally.
Reference numbers should be numbered using Arabic numerals. Reference signs that are not mentioned in the text of the description shall not appear in the drawings, and reference signs that do not appear in the drawings shall not be mentioned in the text of the description. The reference signs indicating the same component in the application documents shall be consistent.
The size and clarity of the attached drawings should ensure that each detail in the drawing can still be clearly distinguished when the drawing is reduced to two-thirds, and shall be able to meet the requirements for copying and scanning.
The same drawing should be drawn at the same scale. In order to clearly display a certain component, an additional partial enlargement may be added. Drawings shall contain no annotations other than necessary words. The words in the accompanying drawings should be in Chinese, and if necessary, the original text can be indicated in brackets.
Flow charts and block diagrams should be included as attachments, and necessary text and symbols should be given within their frames. Generally, photos are not allowed to be used as attachments, but in special circumstances, for example, when showing metallographic structures, tissue cells or electrophoresis patterns, photos can be used and attached to drawings as attachments.
The pages of the manual and accompanying drawings should be numbered in Arabic numeral order.
2. Claims
If there are several claims, they shall be numbered sequentially with Arabic numerals, and the words "claim" or "right" shall not be used before the numbering.
Chemical formulas or mathematical formulas may be included in claims, and tables may also be included when necessary, but illustrations are not allowed.
The claims should be numbered in Arabic numeral order.
3. Abstract of the specification
When applying for an invention patent, an abstract of the specification (hereinafter referred to as the abstract) must be submitted.
Abstract text part
The abstract text part should state the name of the invention and the technical field to which it belongs, clearly reflecting the technical problem to be solved, the key points and main points of the technical solution to solve the problem. use. If the name of the invention is not stated or the key points of the technical solution cannot be reflected, the applicant shall be notified to make corrections; if commercial promotional terms are used, the applicant may be notified to delete or the examiner may delete them. If the examiner deletes the invention, the applicant shall be notified.
The text part of the abstract shall not use a title, and the text part (including punctuation marks) shall not exceed 300 words. If the abstract exceeds 300 words, the applicant may be notified to delete it or the examiner may delete it; if the examiner deletes it, the applicant shall be notified.
Abstract Drawings
If the description has drawings, the applicant shall submit a drawing that best illustrates the main technical features of the technical solution of the invention as an abstract drawing. The drawing attached to the abstract should be one of the drawings included in the description. If the applicant fails to submit a drawing for the abstract, the examiner may notify the applicant to make corrections, or designate one ex officio and notify the applicant. If the examiner confirms that there are no suitable abstract drawings to be designated, the applicant does not need to make corrections.
If the abstract drawing submitted by the applicant obviously cannot explain the main technical features of the technical solution of the invention, or if the abstract drawing submitted is not one of the drawings attached to the description, the examiner may notify the applicant to make corrections, or ex officio Designate one and notify the applicant.
The size and clarity of the abstract drawing should ensure that when the picture is reduced to 4 cm × 6 cm, each detail in the picture can still be clearly distinguished.
The abstract may contain the chemical formula that best describes the invention, and the chemical formula may be regarded as a drawing attached to the abstract.
Rule 121
4.6 Format review of publication conditions of application documents
The description, claims and abstract of the description when the patent application is published should be neat and clear. No alterations or additions between lines are allowed. The lines (such as contour lines, dot-dash lines, section lines, center lines, index lines, etc.) in the drawings of the description and the summary of the description should be clearly identifiable. The text and lines should be black, dark enough, and the background should be clean to meet the requirements for copying and scanning. There should be no borders around the text and figures. Page numbers for various documents should be written separately and consecutively.
