1662, the world's first pencil factory-Shidelou pencil factory was built in Nuremberg, Germany. Later, F. Kaster, a German, founded Faber Kaster Graphite Pencil Factory in Nuremberg. The lead core was made by heating with sulfur, antimony and other binders and mixing with graphite, which made the manufacturing technology of graphite pencil rod take a big step forward.
Later, after repeated experiments, Comte, a French chemist, changed to clay as a reinforcing agent, and the prepared refill was more solid and wear-resistant. Moreover, this method was suitable for any graphite mine and has been used for 20 19 years.

Pencil manufacturing
Divided into two parts: pen cap and pen holder. The external decorative material of pencil cap is mainly polyester material, and the manufacturing process can be divided into molding, offset printing and assembly. The main decorative materials of pencil rod are nitrocellulose lacquer, ink, electrochemical aluminum foil, rubber head and aluminum hoop. The manufacturing process can be divided into pencil board, lead core, pencil rod, finished product decoration and other processes.
In pencil board processing, logs are cut and chopped, sawed into wood blocks, and then cut into pencil boards with a cutting machine after hydrothermal treatment. The plate is 184mm long, 73mm wide and 4.8 ~ 5.2 mm thick. After heating (60 ~ 120℃) and drying at high temperature (130 ~ 200℃), the pencil board becomes soft and easy to roll.
