U V inks are generally divided into the following categories: universal metal UV ink, high temperature resistant UV metallic ink UV-MI-28 series, special decorative effect UV metallic ink, metal etching UV anticorrosive ink and UV metal varnish series, metal polishing ink, metal surface hardening ink, metal insulating ink, etc. Different metals need different surface treatment methods. Some are high-gloss, some are porous, such as alumina board, some have passive film on the surface, some have coating, some have baking paint, and some have powder coating. For metals with high gloss and difficult adhesion, such as mirror titanium plate and mirror stainless steel, it is necessary to screen print a special layer of U V varnish on the metal surface first, and then print other UV inks after the varnish is cured. Some surface treatment agents can also be selected for metal surface treatment. Some metal coatings do not touch any ink, such as fluorocarbon coatings and polypropylene coatings. UV ink can only be printed after water treatment with special treatment agents such as PP. Coatings with different compositions should be treated with different surface treatment agents.
The same metal material, different use environment requirements, the requirements for surface printing UV ink are also different. Some require high temperature resistance, some require waterproof and moistureproof, and some require frost resistance.
Different metals and different decorative effects require different UV effect inks. Some want icing effect, some want frosting effect, some want matte effect, some want colored sand effect, some want colorful crystal effect, some want wrinkles or hammer effect. High gloss metal is suitable for printing UV metal icing, hammering, frosting and frosting ink, but if it is printed on other metal substrates, the expected effect will not be achieved.
