The National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition is a national youth science and technology competition co-sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, General Administration of Sports, Intellectual Property Office, Natural Science Foundation, Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and All-China Women's Federation.
Its purpose is to stimulate young people's scientific interest and imagination, and cultivate their scientific thinking, innovative spirit and practical ability; Promote the extensive development of young people's scientific and technological innovation activities and the continuous improvement of scientific and technological education level; Discover and cultivate a group of young talents with scientific research potential and innovative spirit.
According to the "Measures for Enrollment of Ordinary Colleges and Universities in 2004" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2004, fresh high school graduates who won the first and second prizes in the national high school youth science and technology innovation competition can take the unified entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities without taking the test and be admitted to ordinary colleges and universities.
Until 20 10, 1 1, the Ministry of Education and other five departments issued a document to standardize and adjust some college entrance examination plus points, canceled the walk award policy, and stipulated that students who won the first and second prizes in the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition in the senior secondary education stage should be decided by the provincial college admissions committee where the students graduated that year whether the college entrance examination plus points should not exceed 20 points. Award-winning students who intend to participate in the independent selection and admission assessment of pilot universities will be given priority to participate in the assessment under the same conditions.
