China Automobile is now called Brilliance Automobile Group Holdings Co., Ltd. Brilliance Auto Group Holdings Co., Ltd. ("Brilliance Auto" in English) is the main force of China's automobile industry with "independent innovation, own technology, and independent brands" from a high starting point.
It is a large-scale enterprise group integrating the research and development, design, manufacturing, sales and capital operation of complete vehicles, engines and core components.

Brilliance Auto Group Holdings Co., Ltd., referred to as "Brilliance Auto Group", is a wholly state-owned company established in 2002 in accordance with the central decision and approved by the Liaoning Provincial Government. Its headquarters is located in Shenyang City, a national key equipment manufacturing base known as the "National Equipment Department", is the main force of independent brands in China's automobile industry.
As of 2011, Brilliance Automotive Group has built two major production and sales bases in the north and south in China, five complete vehicle manufacturers, four engine manufacturers and multiple parts manufacturers, with two major national certifications Enterprise technology center, nationally recognized laboratory and postdoctoral mobile workstation, with more than 500 technology patents (including nearly 100 international patents).
It has rare domestic capabilities in vehicle styling, design, prototype vehicle manufacturing, vehicle matching development, and design and development capabilities of core auto parts such as engines.
