The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1978. At present, it has five teaching management institutions, including department office, teaching and research section of chemical engineering principles, teaching and research section of chemical engineering technology and laboratory of chemical engineering principles, and undertakes the teaching tasks of more than 20 professional basic courses and specialized courses in the departments of salt lake, applied chemistry and chemical machinery. There are 16 teaching staff and 5 part-time teachers, including 12 with senior titles, accounting for 60% of the total number of teachers.

The department offers chemical engineering and technology majors, which are divided into two undergraduate majors: chemical technology and petrochemical industry. Cultivate students who have basic knowledge, basic theories and skills in chemical engineering, good scientific literacy and innovative ability, meet the actual needs of China's socialist construction and knowledge economy in the 2/kloc-0 century, develop morally, intellectually, physically and aesthetically, and can engage in engineering design, technology development, production technology management and scientific research in chemical industry, light industry, oil refining, energy and environmental protection.

Our department has always put teaching first, continuously deepened teaching reform, strengthened curriculum construction, and steadily improved teaching quality. Chemical engineering and technology is a provincial key discipline, chemical engineering principle is a provincial excellent course, chemical engineering principle laboratory is a provincial key laboratory, chemical reaction engineering is a provincial key course, and chemical technology is a provincial key course.

Our department attaches great importance to scientific research and constantly improves the academic level of teachers through scientific research. Since 2002, teachers in our college have participated in scientific research projects 13 by the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, among which 8 were in charge, won invention patents 1, and published nearly 100 academic papers. The Department of Chemical Machinery was established in 1996 and 12. There are two majors, automation, process equipment and control engineering, which mainly train advanced applied engineering and technical talents suitable for many fields. This is a young, energetic and hopeful department. All teachers are 2 1 person, and teachers under 40 14, including graduate teachers 12 and doctors 1 person. Since 1997, the Department of Chemical Machinery has trained more than 400 undergraduates majoring in automation, process equipment and control engineering, who are distributed in various industries in China. The department of chemical machinery now has three teaching and research sections: control principle, automation, process equipment and control engineering. There are 6 teachers in the teaching and research section of Control Principles, including 4 senior titles, intermediate titles 1 name and junior titles 1 name. There are 7 teachers in the Automation Teaching and Research Section, including 4 senior titles, 2 junior titles and 4 intermediate titles 1. There are 6 teachers in the teaching and research section of process equipment and control engineering, including 3 senior titles and 3 intermediate titles.

Automation major: Automation major is to cultivate engineering technical foundation and certain professional knowledge in a wide range of fields, such as electrical technology, electronic technology, control theory, automatic detection and instrument, information processing, system engineering, computer technology and application, and network technology. Can be engaged in motion control, industrial process control, power electronics technology, detection and automation instruments, electronics and computer technology, information processing, management and decision-making and other fields of system analysis, system design, system operation and scientific and technological development.

Specialty of process equipment and control engineering: The specialty of process equipment and control engineering trains senior engineering and technical personnel with knowledge of chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, control engineering and management engineering, who can engage in engineering design, technology development, production technology management and scientific research in the fields of chemical engineering, petroleum, energy, light industry, environmental protection, medicine, food, machinery and labor safety.
