The difference between patent inventor and author

Different contributions have different legal status.

1. Different contributions: A patent inventor refers to a person who has created an invention or utility model, and his contribution is the idea of the original invention or utility model. Patent writer refers to the person who writes the patent application, whose contribution is to write the patent application documents according to the technical data and information provided by the inventor, so as to protect the inventor's creative achievements.

2. Different legal status: the patent inventor enjoys the highest status among the patent owners and has the right to license, transfer or sell the patent to others. The legal status of patent writers has nothing to do with this, but only provides services for inventors to write and apply for patents, and does not have the ownership of patents.
