What is the definition of invention in Finnish patent law?

The term of protection of Finnish invention patents is 20 years from the date of application. The Finnish patent law defines invention as: "Invention refers to a new technical scheme proposed for a product, method or its improvement."

The application procedure of invention patent in Finland is basically the same as that in China. The application process is: submission of application, formal examination, substantive examination and patent authorization.

After the application documents are complete and the application fee is paid, the formal examination will begin. After the formal examination, we will enter the substantive examination. If it does not meet the requirements of substantive examination, the applicant has six months to submit supplementary materials.
