Dwarf perennial herbs, 10 cm tall. The whole plant is densely covered with long silver-gray hair. Rhizomes are short and lignified, and aboveground stems branch from the base, creeping or erect. Leaves sessile, alternate and linear. Flowers axillary, solitary at the top of pedicel, with white flowers. It turns green in late April, blooms in June-August and bears fruit in July-September.

Growing habits:

Silver convolvulus is a typical xerophyte, and its pH value is 8.0 ~ 8.5, and it can grow when it reaches 9. It is a common companion species of saline-alkali grassland and various grassland communities. Like dry and well-drained habitats, the number of grassland degradation and salinization increases. It is an indicator species of grassland degradation and salinization. In degraded and salinized grassland, it can become the dominant species in the lower layer, and in local alkali bag, the grass in the upper layer can also become the dominant species after disappearing, forming a small community.
