Recently, a 3D rendering video of the new Huawei Mate 50 machine was exposed on the Internet. It is reported that the video is a 3D rendering created by Designer Technizo Concept in cooperation with Letsgodigital. It shows that the screen of the new phone adopts a large arc curved surface design similar to a "ring screen", and the back is equipped with the same "8-shaped camera" module as the Huawei P50. According to reports, the new Huawei Mate 50 may be released in 2022.
In terms of screens, Huawei Mate 30 Pro and Mate 40 Pro were previously equipped with 88-degree curved screens, and the side touch function will depend on whether the model has a volume button. The screen of the new Huawei Mate 50 rendering is located on both sides of the device, shaped like an arc, but the thickness is not symmetrical. The sides can display touch controls, virtual volume buttons, notifications, etc. At the same time, it also comes with touch and pressure sensitivity functions. The document also mentions details such as AI dicing, heat dissipation, vibration components and stereo speakers.
In fact, as early as March 2019, Huawei submitted a 23-page patent for the new machine to the US Patent and Trademark Office, and officially announced the patent on July 15, 2021. It is reported that the patent details document mentions a Huawei mobile phone with a very "round" (curved) screen, or a "surround view screen", which is basically an arched screen. According to outside sources, the new phone in the patent is Huawei Mate 50 Pro.
