Introduction of heat pipe heat exchanger

Heat pipe is a kind of heat transfer element with high thermal conductivity. Heat pipe technology was first discovered by American R·S· Gaugler in 1944, and obtained the patent of "heat transfer device". It didn't show practical significance at that time, so it didn't get the attention it deserved. Until the early 1960s, due to the development of aerospace industry, it was required to provide spacecraft with efficient heat transfer elements, which prompted G M Grover of Los Alamos Laboratory in the United States to rediscover the principle of this heat transfer device in 1964 and named it heat pipe. It was first successfully applied to aerospace technology, and later attracted great interest and attention from scholars all over the world. Heat pipe technology entered China in 1970s and 1980s.
