Graduate from Tsinghua University with a bachelor's degree; master's degree from Academician Yu Tang Hongxiao graduated from the Center for Ecology and Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and received a doctorate from Imperial College London. He is currently a professor at Southern University of Science and Technology, secretary of the School of Environment at Southern University of Science and Technology, and director of the Engineering Technology Innovation Center (Beijing) of Southern University of Science and Technology. Professor Hu Qing has more than 30 years of research and work experience in the field of environmental engineering. He has accumulated profound theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience at home and abroad in many professional fields and project management such as water treatment, sludge treatment, soil remediation, etc., and has served as a judge of the technical committee of the Swedish Stockholm Water Prize, the highest award in the international water field. He is a member of the China Technical Committee of the Global Water Partnership (the ninth person in the world), a member of the China Technical Committee of the Global Water Partnership, and a member of the Soil and Groundwater Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences. In 2011, he received funding from the Ministry of Human Resources and Security for high-level returned overseas students (the first ten people in the country). In 2013, he won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education. In 2013, he was named an "Expert Enjoying Special Allowances from the State Council."
