N95 mask
N95 mask is one of the 9 types of anti-particle masks certified by NIOSH (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
"N" means that it is not suitable for oily particles (the oil fumes produced by cooking are oily particles, but the droplets produced by people talking or coughing are not oily); "95" means that they are not suitable for oily particles according to NIOSH standards. Under the testing conditions, the filtration efficiency reaches 95.
This mask is commonly used for occupational respiratory protection, including certain microbial particles (such as viruses, bacteria, mold, etc.). The biggest feature is that it can prevent droplet infections caused by splashes of patient's body fluids or blood.
