Is BYD xdream hybrid or pure electric?

The patent application map of BYD X-dream exposed on the Internet is one step closer to the production version.

It is found from the exposed patent drawings that BYD X-dream has made many improvements and adjustments compared with the concept car in order to meet the mass production requirements of laws and regulations.

The most distinctive front face and concept car have not changed much, and the wide middle net and the narrow headlight group make the front of the car look very imposing. It seems that the production version still retains the back pattern design that can be lit on both sides of the net, making the front face more iconic.

Unfortunately, the design of electronic rearview mirrors and opposite doors on both sides of the concept car was cancelled and changed to traditional style. Although this part of the design looks more modern and cool, it is still a bit too radical as a production model. The Chinese-knotted taillights and bumpers at the rear of the car have also been found to have changed greatly, becoming more in line with the traditional design style, slightly reducing the iconic and aesthetic feeling of the new car.

The patent drawing of BYD X-dream does not show the appearance of the interior, but the interior design of the concept car is very conventional, which continues the design language of BYD models on sale, with a large screen center console in the middle. It is expected that the interior of the production version will not be much different from the existing models, but we can still expect BYD to introduce some new elements.

It is understood that BYD X-dream may be built on the e3.0 platform, equipped with the latest in-vehicle system, dashboard, central control panel and assisted driving system. The new car will be equipped with plug-in hybrid power system, new heat pump technology, eight-in-one electric drive system and dual-motor power system. The maximum cruising range can reach 1000 km, and it supports 800V flash charging technology.
