China 4g patent

IT House reported on July 9 that a court in Mannheim, Germany, ruled in favor of Nokia's 4G/5G patent dispute with OPPO. The lawsuit was caused by the breakdown of negotiations between Nokia and OPPO on 4G (LTE) and 5G patents.

According to gizmochina, the ruling of the German District Court is the first ruling on the disputed patent. Nokia sued OPPO for nine standard essential patents and five implementation patents in three local courts in Germany.

Nokia is a mainstream competitor in the field of 5G SEP, with a huge investment of about 654.38+02.9 billion euros (about 878.49 billion yuan). It has a large number of patents in this field and has recently won several settlements, including Daimler and Lenovo.

It is reported that the local court in Mannheim, Germany has granted Nokia a stop order against OPPO, which means that OPPO and Yijia equipment will be banned in Germany. OPPO's objection to the judgment was also rejected by the judge.

IT House has learned that Nokia and OPPO are conducting patent litigation in many countries, and OPPO is also counterclaiming Nokia in nine countries. OPPO said that the lawsuit filed by Nokia was shocking.

A Nokia spokesman said: "This is the second ruling of Mannheim District Court. The first time is for the implementation of patents, and the second time is for the necessary patents of cellular standards. OPPO uses Nokia's patented technology in its smartphones and illegally sells these patented technologies without permission. The court also held that Nokia's actions were fair. Although we conducted extensive negotiations, OPPO refused to agree to the permission of fair terms and rejected the proposal to arbitrate differences. "
