Zhu Jin's work experience

In 2009, he was introduced by the "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and served as a researcher and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Polymer Materials of Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences. At present, two technologies have been successfully transformed, one is a bio-based formaldehyde-free wood adhesive successfully developed from soybean flour, and the other is a plastic product, which uses corn stalk and other raw materials instead of petroleum to produce polylactic acid. These two technologies are environmentally friendly renewable resources.

During my stay in Beijing Institute of Chemistry, China Academy of Sciences, I participated in the National Eighth Five-Year Plan and Ninth Five-Year Plan projects, namely, the research and development of PET polyester elastomer in plastic toughening agent and the research and application of polyester elastomer-ABS. And independently completed the fund project "Synthesis of polyester elastomer with high elasticity and low deformation" by the director of Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

During the doctoral research in Marquette University, completely exfoliated polystyrene-clay nanocomposites were obtained for the first time in the world, and the relationship between flame retardancy and nanostructures was clarified. The method of improving the flame retardant properties of polymer materials by using traditional flame retardants and nano-additives is proposed for the first time. In 200 1 year, he won the student award of American Chemist Foundation.

During my postdoctoral research at Cornell University, I successfully synthesized organic nanoclay with high thermal stability (over 300C), which can be directly mixed in the melt of polycarbonate. So as to obtain polycarbonate nanocomposites for mobile phone housings. Polycarbonate nanocomposites improve mechanical strength and toughness at the same time. Folding times (fatigue resistance) are greatly improved. This research was granted a US patent (US 7,148,282).

During my work in NEI company in the United States. As the main researcher, in 2004, he applied for and successfully obtained two American SBIR Natural Science Foundation (NSF) and Department of Energy Foundation (DOE). At the same time, the scratch-resistant polyurethane nano-coating for automobile was successfully developed.

Participate in the preparation of Ovation polymer in America. As the company's chief scientist and application development minister (R&; Director D), led the R&D department to develop more than ten kinds of commercial products from small scale to pilot scale. These include well-known product brands Zhutrex and Zhuntem. At present, he is still an honorary technical consultant of Ovation Polymers. There are seven US patent applications or approvals.
