There are only three companies in China that produce EVA resin photovoltaic materials, namely Levima Xinke, Sierbon, and Ningbo Formosa Plastics.
There are only three domestic companies of EVA resin photovoltaic materials, namely Levima Xinke, Sierbon (acquired by Shenghong Petrochemical) and Ningbo Formosa Plastics. They rely heavily on imports, with annual import volume exceeding 400,000 tons. EVA production uses a high-pressure valve continuous bulk polymerization process, which has high technical barriers and is mastered by only a few companies, such as Underbasel and ExxonMobil.
Levima's current EVA production capacity exceeds 120,000 tons/year, of which the output and proportion of photovoltaic materials are increasing year by year. The company's EVA products adopt the internationally leading ExxonMobil kettle process. The product structure is all high VA content products with a VA content of 28 and above, focusing on high-end products with high added value. In the field of photovoltaic materials, the company successfully launched the photovoltaic film material product FL02528, breaking the foreign monopoly.
