Employment direction of intellectual property specialty

Intellectual property is a new interdisciplinary subject based on the discipline of law and deeply integrated with science, engineering, economy and management. It has been nearly 20 years since the official enrollment in 2004. Intellectual property specialty belongs to the category of law, and graduates are generally awarded a bachelor's degree in law. The postgraduate majors of this major mainly include legal history, civil and commercial law, procedural law, economic law and so on.

Intellectual property mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of law and intellectual property, and provides intellectual property services in patent offices, copyright bureaus, patent offices and other enterprises and institutions, including intellectual property agency, evaluation, certification and consultation. Common intellectual property rights include: patent right, trademark right, copyright, manufacturer's name right, etc.

From the perspective of employment direction, it is mainly divided into four categories:

First, continue to pursue further studies;

Two, to participate in the national legal professional qualification examination, engaged in intellectual property and legal related work in the public security department or law firm;

Three, to participate in the patent agent qualification examination, engaged in trademark agency, patent agency work in trademark offices, law firms, etc.

Four, enter enterprises and institutions, such as the Copyright Bureau, Trademark Office, Patent Office, Science and Technology Bureau and other departments, or intellectual property intermediary services, engaged in intellectual property management, protection and management.
